Facebook is undoubtedly the platform where you store and share the most photos. However, if you want to make your photos more original by applying filters or effects to them, you always need to use some other program to do so, at least when you are using the web version of the social network.

Photon is a Google Chrome extension that allows you to edit the images published on Facebook in order to add different tones and frames, include stickers, blur specific parts of the images or adjust their color, brightness and contrast, among many other options. You can do all of this directly from the Facebook interface.

  1. The effects provided by this extension are very similar to those in other programs such as Instagram or Pixlr Express. This plugin adds a drop-down menu to the photos that have been uploaded to Facebook so that you can share them, edit them, and download them in their original size.
  2. No matter who uploaded the photos, you can download them just by clicking the button. On the other hand, if you want to upload images to Facebook from your hard drive you can do so either from the platform or using the option that is included with your photo.
  3. You no longer have to use editing programs to upload photos to Facebook. You can do so directly in Facebook!
